With all the talk about birth control and abortion being available on insurance plans I just have to say something.

The right wing party thinks it is perfectly fine for a pharmacist to refuse to fill a prescription for birth control or emergency contraception if he says he is religiously against doing so. Employers, who you work for rather than being owned by, can keep you from getting coverage for birth control if they aren't in favor of women controlling birth. They want women to allow nature to take its course. If you have sex you might get pregnant and if you get pregnant you must carry to term as nature and God intended, even if the sex was rape or incest, we are still expected to carry to term as nature and God intended, as some republicans in government have stated. They are all about nature taking its course. I guess what I want to point out is that nature/God designed the penis to eventually slow down and then stop. It is natural for a man's testosterone level to decrease as they age. It is natural for the erections to become less frequent. AND it is natural for the penis to eventually die. While women are expected to not interfere with nature the same doesn't hold for the men. I am so sick of seeing commercials about Bob and his male enhancement wood, about bathtubs for two and how Cialis and Viagra can have the penis ready for action with just a little pill and if they need even more help then there is always Pos-ti-vac to make the penis stand up and salute.  Am I the only one who sees a big old double standard here?

I agree. Although I do think you will find too many in this group that will.

The whole subject of sex is a double standard.....

I saw a meme that said SLUT: a woman with the morals of a man

Although women get condemned for it and men get padded on the back... Boys will be boys and all!

apples and oranges. abortion is murder regardless. Life begins at conception and it should be respected and treated as such.

I think that's probably true

In my Grandmother's day women (not all) were the moral fabric that held that country together.

Today we are simply men.

Yea for us.

The companies that don't cover birth control aren't telling their employees not to have birth control they are just saying they won't pay for it.  I don't see why that is an issue.

For me the issue is simple. These same companies denying reproductive care for females are the same companies that think it's their job to keep the penis alive and functioning at all costs. If many of these people had their way life would begin at the filippin erection. They treat being a woman as if it is some sort of condition to be avoided and whose only purpose is to serve as an incubator for some man's progeny, serve as his sexual outlet, submit in all things and shut up.

The ironic part about this is these commercials run every 15 min. On fox news. I watch fox news & always thought It was rather strange.

They aren't denying reproductive rights. I have never had a health insurance ever cover birth control and I managed. I either paid out of pocket or used something otc. I didn't feel the health ins was denying my rights. T

It's not your employers business if you even decide to use or not use the covered items.

Seeing as how I am a lesbian, I don't really care whether some guy's penis works or not. We are expected to just accept the double standard and keep quiet. Too many of those seeking to control our lives and bodies would be much more comfortable in the 1950's when men ruled, women submitted and all was white with the world. Women outnumber men in this country yet year after year we continue allowing them to instead of banding together and putting more women in positions of power. I find it highly offensive when I see a panel on women's health care and there isn't a woman on the panel. Women do not think the same way as men and for that I am very grateful. I know that is a bit more than you asked but it's the whole it's a man's world crap that bugs the hell out of me.
