My bible says that 40 year old women should marry 15 year old boys

Posted by   + Show Post

because that will train them to be more compliant doing the chores around the house like taking out garbage, that they will learn to speak only when spoken to,  and will learn how to please us wimmin folk

my bible says that God loves gays and lesbians that are good people and kind rather than haters of other religions

my bible says that if they're gonna make my public school say the pledge that they do it like it was said before the 1950's

my bible says that all the students in public schools should pray  "thank you for science and the knowledge of evolution and I can't wait to find out more about the universe and scientific theory"

my bible says that my God doesn't care what consenting adults do in bed  S/he is not interested  it also says that adults can marry whomever they please and how many they please

My bible says be kind to people and that people who believe in God have such security in their beliefs that they really don't care if people believe or don't believe and they don't have to promote my bible all over the place.

My bible says that if people don't believe that's ok too - no problem - or if they believe in a different God - no problem - it's all good

my bible says being kind is the number one commandment and that when one makes a difficult decision they should always refer to the 1st commandment

I love my bible and my God!!!!   (except for the 40/15 thing I really believe this)

Quoting SallyMJ:

The Bible doesn't say what she said. That's how I know.

There are different versions as far as different language, early and modern English - not meaning.

Anyone who reads the Bible regularly knows what is and isn't in there. You can't make up what you think should be there, and say it's there. No document works that way.

Quoting Lilfootmommy: Whose to say your Bible is the right one?

Quoting SallyMJ:

Well, your bible isn't the Bible. You're reading the wrong one.  Except number two. But God loves all people unconditionally.  :)

Quoting vic270:

its the only one i will call a bible, and the i want to be taught by. you can read whatever but you need to call it the gospel of blueforewolf instead of the bible, of course this is just my opinion.

Quoting blueforewolf:

your bible is not the only valid religious book in the universe

Quoting vic270:

the book you are going by is not a bible you need to go back to the bookstore and get a refund.

lol I know, you try and be a good parent, you try and do what's right and then wham it bites you!

Quoting gludwig2000:

Yeah, I know. But that is also why I tell any new parent I run across to never, ever under any circumstances to encourage their kids to speak their minds, lol. It will bite you in the butt each and every time!

Quoting blueforewolf:

lol yknow she has a point!

Quoting gludwig2000:

Lol, my older brother says that he remembers the day that I was arguing with my mom, I was about 16, and that I told her "that she was certainly entitled to her opinion, but that didn't mean I had to share it". He said that was the first time he ever remembered seeing her speechless, lol. But smartassedness runs in our family, because I've had one of mine tell me " well, you are the one who taught us to speak out minds, so don't get mad when we do",lol.

Quoting blueforewolf:

one time I told my mother, "well you made the mess."  that didn't go over well either - I was such a smart ass teen lol

Quoting gludwig2000: I hope it worked for you, because it doesn't for her, lol.
Quoting blueforewolf:

lol!  I think I used that when I was a kid too

Quoting gludwig2000:

Hmm, I wonder if your bible is the same that my 19 year old tries to go by, because she insists that doing dishes is against her religion.

Now I can't remember. I *think* it is group specific.

Which "bible" are you referring to?  It sounds like your own personal opinion "bible."

Falling Away

Apostasy, from the Greek word apostasia, meaning withdrawl or defection, is the defiant falling away from Christianity by someone who had been a converted member of the faith. Apostasy isn't a simple matter of sin by human weakness (see Is Anyone Free Of Sin?) - it's a deliberate, unrepentant rejection of the Truth by someone who became fully aware of it.

Anathema Apostasy, or rather, never committing it, is a very serious matter. Once one knows better, he or she is expected to do better. Of all of the sins that there are to commit, apostasy is The Unpardonable Sin (see also What Is Sin?)

What does The Bible have to say about apostasy? What does Bible Prophecy say about it in the end-time?

"In Later Times"

"Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, through the pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and enjoin abstinence from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving; for then it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer." (1 Timothy 4:1-5 RSV)

"But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of stress. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. Avoid such people." (2 Timothy 3:1-5 RSV)

"Thorns and Thistles"

"For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they then commit apostasy, since they crucify the Son of God on their own account and hold him up to contempt. For land which has drunk the rain that often falls upon it, and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed; its end is to be burned." (Hebrews 6:4-8 RSV)

Fact Finder: In the Olivet Prophecy (named after The Mount Of Olives from which it was spoken), how did Jesus Christ describe world conditions just prior to His Return?
