'Net neutrality' law approved...

Seems as though the Europeans are definitely smarter about this issue than we are.

Perhaps if more people voted we'd have more influence over our legislators.

Some gave all and all gave some. Remember your rights as an American were earned with the blood of others. Don't waste them and please do your duty as a citizen and vote intelligently in every election.

In recent months I have seen a disturbing trend on CM- more people stating that they did not vote in 2012 and that they have given up on the vote.

I am very pessimistic about the state of current campaign and elections systems, but I would never stay home and not voice myself via the vote. Never

Well those places in Europe; that getting slow internet services, good luck in finding anyone to pay for equipment for faster, better, newer equipment.

Hopefully the EU parliament will provide such funding ... But I'm doubtful.

All internet neutrality means is that no business can be treated unfairly.

If it was passed in the US the corporations wouldn't have a monopoly on internet speed via profits.

All would receive it equally.

When I watch a show I like on Netflix I wouldn't have to constantly wait for it to buffer because maybe it's not such a popular show. You see I'm paying Comcast for internet. Netflix is paying comcast, but comcast wants more money. It's never enough.

So Netflix is forced to navigate what we receive through the most popular shows because it's too damn expensive.

Europe has said f*** that s***.

All will receive internet speed equally in Europe. It will not be hoarded for profits.

I think the US has far slower access and much older infrastructure than anybody else, including Europe.

Of course, the Japanese and South Koreans can kick our ass on this one drunk with one router tied behind their back.
