Extreme Caution: This Frightening YouTube Video May Be the Manifesto of Santa Barbara Mass Slayer

The drive-by shooting rampage that rocked Santa Barbara, California Friday night may have been a premeditated mass murder, ABC reports Sheriff Bill Brown as saying, and the suspected shooter may have left behind video detailing murderous intentions.

— Click here for complete coverage of the story —

The Friday night shooting left at least seven dead, local authorities said, including the suspected shooter. Seven more were wounded.

Local newspaper the Santa Barbara Independent is reporting that the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department is reviewing as evidence a YouTube video in which 22-year-old Elliot Rodger declares his intention to “slay” residents of Isla Vista, the college neighborhood adjacent to Santa Barbara.

(Content warning: mature content & disturbing language)

Rodger declares that the video will be his last, and laments a life of loneliness.

“Girls gave their affection and sex and love to other men but never to me,” he says.

“All those girls that I’ve desired so much, they would’ve all rejected me and looked down upon me as an inferior man if I ever made a sexual advance towards them while they throw themselves at these obnoxious brutes,” Rodger says to the camera.

Rodger then promises violence.

“I’ll take great pleasure in slaughtering all of you,” he says. “You will finally see that I am in truth the superior one the true alpha male.”

“After I’ve annihilated every single girl in the sorority house, I’ll take to the streets of Isla Vista and slay every single person I see there.”

“If I can’t have you, girls, I will destroy you.”

Speculation on the Internet suggests Rodger may be the son of Hunger Games assistant director Peter Rodger and stepson of Soumaya Akaaboune (from the cast of TV show ‘Les Vraies Housewives’).

Such speculation appears to be supported from photos on a Facebook page appearing to belong to him. The photos show him at a Hunger Games premiere with a man who appears to be Peter Rodger.

TheBlaze has reached out to the Rodger family for comment.

The original video was posted to YouTube Friday and was removed midday Saturday. This story has been updated with a version of the video via LiveLeak. TheBlaze’s Oliver Darcy contributed to this report.

If you have the time, here is his real manifesto.  Quite long!!   OMG, how this one thought, what he thought was owed to him, is unbelievable!

And if we raise our kids to believe everyone wins always and everyone gets a trophy, we have to expect more of this entitlement.  We are not teaching any coping skills.

Why do people have such a morbid fascination with these things?

The guy was severely mentally ill.   Sounds like untreated bipolar mixed with schizophrenia, but naming the diagnosis is really up to an expert....though the writing style fits.

The grandiosity, the hostility, the rambling style, all very typical.    Seen it hundreds of times.   Same thing every time.

Their emotions are out of control - lots of anger, lots of hostility...they can't help it.   It's the disease that does that to them.   The tragedy is that he was not put under involuntary trreatment.

I feel sorry for the killer as well as all his victims.   This didn't have to happen.

You're so full of shit.   This isn't about not saying thank you or a trophy for t ball participation.   This kid had a very severe mental illness.   And those aren't caused by trophies for tball participation.

Sorry....you don't get it.   This guy was out of his mind.   Severely mentally ill.   The writing is just the ramblings of his brain, hostility and anger caused by the disease.   Probably a very nice kid before he got sick.   And probably allowed to deteriorate for years without treatment

One thing I did notice was how he was treated after his parents divorce.  His dad and stepmother put limits on him, limited his internet and gaming time, gave him rules to live by at their house.  His mother, on the other hand, went out of her way to do what he wanted, to give him what would make him happy.  Of course, this is all according to what he wrote.  Who knows how true it is.  But if it is true, I think that says a lot.

What you're suggesting is absolute and utter nonsense.

Stuff like that doesn't cause mental illness   Go read a book - you're sorely lacking in education about the biology behind these severe mental illnesses.

Oh, I see.  I know nothing, and you know it all....  so of course what I see is absolute nonsense.  But, I do know that having 2 different sets of rules in 2 different houses can mess with a kid's mind.  And his mother and grandmother babied him.  BABIED him.  Now, that can be a cause, or a result.  That I do not know.  But I do not think it is absolute nonsense.  I think it is something to consider.

Oh, but, I know nothing...............

Of course this kid "had Asbergers...."  It is always some kind of undiagnosed mental illness..  always.   There is not one fucked up kid, just a fucked up kid, without people screaming about mental illness.  His parents tried to get him help, he was seeing a psychiatrist.  That was SUCH a help for him, it did nothing for him.  He was a sick fuck, I will totally agree with that.  I don't know what exactly was wrong with him, and we will never know now.  But don't dismiss what other people see as a sign, as utter nonsense.  YOU don't know either.

What do you think about him claiming to be a god on Earth?  Not exactly normal....  I think.  Am I correct on that one?
