What is your state’s largest company by revenue?

A new map released by phone company Broadview Networks purports to have that answer. Drawing data from a list of company profiles, creator Mike Simmons crafted the graphic laying out the information in an easy to digest manner.

Nike, for instance, is Oregon’s largest company by revenue, according to the map. ExonMobil is the largest in Texas while Chevron dominates California.

Surprisingly, Costco was king in Washington state, surprising some who may have guessed the spot would easily belong to Microsoft or Boeing.

Ours is ExxonMobil.  Not a big surprise since they support many of the smaller cities around Houston.

I am a little surprised by Costco. I would have expected it to be Boeing.

Or Microsoft.  We don't have a Costco near us so I have never been, but some of the people I work with drive 45 minutes to shop there.

Quoting Peanutx3: I am a little surprised by Costco. I would have expected it to be Boeing.
