Hindus Propose Giant Monkey God Statue On Oklahoma Capitol Grounds

How’s that law for religious displays working out for you, right-wing Christians of Oklahoma? Sure, you got to put up your giant 10 commandments monument in front of the State House. But this opened up the door for the Satanic Temple to ask for a memorial. Now, the Hindus are calling for their own religious statue to be placed on the state capitol grounds in Oklahoma City.
Hindu group wants to erect a giant statue of Lord Hanuman.

A Hindu group, the Universal Society of Hinduism, has added their voice to those wishing to place a sacred memorial on the Okla. state capitol grounds.

The Universal Society of Hinduism’s president Rajan Zed petitioned the state for “permission to place a statue of Lord Hanuman” on the public space. He goes on to say that: “This statue would raise awareness of Oklahomans about Hinduism, oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion adherents and a rich philosophical thought,” Zed stated.

Lord Hanuman is a Hindu monkey god who represents valor, strength, and courage. Lord Hanuman is one of the most important deities for Hindus. To learn more about Lord Hanuman and the Hindus, visit here.

Of course. Let's get baby Jesus, the Mariachi band, a taco stand and a big Star of David out there too.

And that HL corps as people...yep, that will bite us in the ass too.

Personally I would rather have none of them in the civic buildings and properties....but if you have one, you must accept all.

Hanuman has all the great qualities - humor in the face of adversity, loyalty, persistence, strength, and...and a lot of other stuff, LOL.

Without Hanuman, the whole Ramayan would have been like this:

"Well, Ravana stole Sita".

"Yeah, he's like...a really  bad guy".

"Wish we could do something about him"

"I KNOW.   He sucks"

"We'd have to get over to Lanka".

"We could build a bridge"

"Na...that would take forever".

"It sucks because...I really love Sita, but I don't have any super powerful friends to help me, my father banished me, then he goes and dies, I mean, I've had a rough time, Lakshman.   Seriously, it's been depressing.   Except for that time in the forest with Sita, let's face it, it's been shit".

"I know"

"You're so wise, Lakshman".

"Yes, I definitely am".

"Ok, well, if it got down towards the end of it and someone...someone like a giant Monkey God, had you know, laid the ground work, I mean, I'd totally attack Ravana".

"Definitely".

"But...like, the way it is, I'll just have to go learn how to use these supernatural weapons, and see if I can figure this whole thing out.   I hate fighting".

"I know.   But...go on over there, mess with that chakra, see if you can figure it out".

"Maybe he'll get tired of her".

"No, probably not".

"You're so wise, Laksham".

"Know that'..

I CAN'T STAND IT!  I'M STARTING A SEPARATE HANUMAN THREAD!!
