Wow... I didn't expect to see that

I live in a smal midwestern town. In past elections the town has been littered by yard signs supporting the Republican presidential candidate. This time around the amount of Trump signs are about half of what you usually find.

What's shocking is as I was driving my dd to her dance class this morning I saw 4 signs with Trumps name either blacked out with marker or duct tape.

I still think he will take our electoral votes but these are people who bleed conservatism and they cannot stand behind the guy. Thought it was interesting they'd go so far as to block his name from their signs.

I have heard that some are afraid and or ashamed to admit that they support Trump.

They weren't ashamed last Saturday when I took her to dance. The signs were still up without anything blacked out. He hasn't even done anything severe in the last week, they also didn't pull the signs out of their yards completely.

Trump supporters here generally don't get much opposition, people don't want to argue and like I said I'm sure he will still take my state. He still has a solid base here, I just remembered though that our local congressman wrote an editorial saying he was voting for Johnson because he just can't support Trump. He's a retired farmer and has a lot of influence in the community so that could have been the nail in Trumps coffin for some of his local supporters.
