Have you ever made your child sit out of a hockey game as a punishment?

We never have. We usually just take away tv, computer, video games, cell phones, spending time with friends etc. It would have to be something very serious for us to take away hockey

No, and depending on the level here you may risk your child being bench for the next game.

No. Hockey is a team sport, and so I think it sets a bad example. When people are counting on you and your commitment, you need to try your best to meet that commitment.

We take away other things first.

We have told him if he starts to slack too much in school that would will not sign him up next season since school is a higher priority. My son has never come close to that in school though.
