I am just wondering how old your child(ren) where when they started playing hockey, and how many hours a week to the currently practise/play?

For mine he started fundamentals at 4 where he had two year of it, and has just started pre-tyke at  the age of six.  He currently has two hours a week plus one hour of power skating.  Next year he goes up to five hours a week plus one hour of power skating - if he makes MD level.

My son started later than most kids here. He learned to skate at 6, and started hockey at 8. I think it was around 3 hours a week at Mite level. He's on the ice about 5 hours a week right now, and they're starting to add dryland training on top of that this week.

Many of his peers started at 3 to 5.

Wesley didn't start until 7, but I am hoping to start my younger one, Patrick at 4 or 5 (he is 3 now).
