Not in this household.  Competition Dance takes that, approximately $ 5,000 per dancer and I have two of them, and this would not include the Highland Dance.  One outfit in Highland Dance can cost over $ 1,000 itself

My youngest DD does Figure skating and depending on the level and the outfits it can cost more than hockey

It is ridiculously expensive but it's what they love to do and it keeps them active and out of trouble so it's worth it

It's worth the money since I get to watch my kids do something they love to do

I did competition dance as a kid and yes it was expensive! When I was old enough I would help teach at my studio to offset some of the cost!

My son's top three sports to play are the top three listed: hockey, cycling, and soccer.  Hahaha.

Our winter association fees were over $1,000 alone, and so I'm not surprised at all.

I agree with the other comments that they probably didn't figure ALL sports out there, and there are some that do cost more.
