Anyone else here using the Charlotte Mason Method minus the bibical aspect of it??
i have looked at it, but have not done it. we are moving more towards unit studies for most subjects. my older daughter does well when we take a novel, read it, and then do the science, history, and math surrounding the subject. for instance, we just finished a cricket it times square and we learned about the life cycles of crickets, how to find the main idea in a story, how subways work, the history of New York, we went to see a musical and researched operas and symphonies online. we also touched on Eilis island and immigration, a little bit about China and Italy, and several writing assignments. Now she has to do a book report on the book. this spring we are going to take a field trip to the King's Opera house here in AR and watch a performance.
