Re-growing celery

Grow another bunch of celery from that stalk bottom that you usually cut off and throw away?   Yes you can!!!!

Okay, I tried this.  I cut the celery bottom off on 2/2/2012 and soaked it in warm/room temp water for 5 days until I noticed little leaves poking up out of the center.  I don't have access to a garden this time of year, but I was able to dig in my Earth Box for some soil and mixed with a bit of seed started medium.

Planted the celery root with just tiny leaves barely showing on 2/7/2012
