Dry Hands?

I've been knitting with wool for a few hours every day and my hands have gotten so dry!  Does anyone else have this problem?  It's only my thumb and first finger, where it is most in contact with.

This is a sign that I am addicted and need help lol

I noticed that too, but it tends to go back to normal. But I do crochet, so not as much contact with the wool I suppose. Interesting.

I'm just very tactiley aware, the slightest roughness on my hands/fingers really bothers me :/  After lanolizing my hands and soaking in the shower, it's much better!
