Words of Wisdom: Be an Example of Forgiveness

Be an Example of Forgiveness

Words of Wisdom: Be an Example of Forgiveness

Women will always be examples of right living to their children. Showing your kids what forgiveness looks like will always be one of your most important examples. Showing others will be one of your biggest challenage! Just remember, you are not alone. You also have the strength and wisdom of the Lord to help you.

Colossians 3:13
Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has (freely) forgiven you, so must you also forgive.

We all have had someone we wish would go away, would have never come into our life, or had that moment that change the relationship to unforgiveness...

It is not a part of our natural nature to forgive others. It is however possible with the help of the Lord. The problem is whither or not we will give it the Lord to remove it from our lives! Sometimes we think "I didn't do anything wrong!" or "They started it! Why should I have to be the first to ask for forgiveness!"

Well, someone has to be the first... and who do you think the Lord is going to honor first? I know that there are people who left unforgiveness for so long, they forgot why they stopped talking in the first place! Did God get the glory for any of this?

If we don't forgive each other, will God forgive us? And if God is unable to forgive us, how long will we be able to be with Him since He can't look upon sin. And we know unforgiveness is a sin... or maybe you didn't know...

Plz, time is short! Plz don't be under the bondage of those who are at odds with us. Trust me when I tell you its not worth it. It seems like it would do harm to them to hold on to unforgiveness. Only the one who gets effected is us! We have no rest, peace, and often find ourselves thinking about how they treated us to the point of loosing sleep, unable to pray, stressed, and eventually, we loose the joy that was meant to be our strength.

Our relationship with the Lord goes array because suddenly we know we are guilty of unforgiveness. This is not what the Lord has for us. All we have to do is tell the Lord we forgive them! Sometimes He requires we tell them for the salvation of their lift. Because you see, they have the same guilt going on as you do.

Plz, ask the Lord to help you to overcome this area of your life or for someone who has odds against you. Start praying for those you hold unforgiveness against. You will soon see them through the eyes of the Lord...The healing begins....God touches your heart, you soul, and you....Life begins again anew! Old things are passed away, and He makes your life new and refreshed!

In Jesus Christ name we ask this for all of us. Help us to trust You, Lord in this situation when we feel like throwing up our hands, saying we can't do this. Let us trust You to give us the victory over the sin of unforgiveness and freed to live again in joy, in peace, in Your love! We know nothing is too hard for You. Thank you for helping us win over through Your grace and mercy!

With great joy & victory in Jesus Christ, Cheryl

I'm thankful I didn't have to go through this alone or linger in unforgiveness any longer! It was eating me up. Couldn't stand it! With the help of the Lord, He gave me the ability to let it go and forgive the person! So wonderful!!! Tk u Lord, Cheryl

Amen Kristy and Cheryl!!!

Kristy you are so right about it being so hard to forgive. But when I saw that The Lord would forgive us of our sins, then how hard could it be for us to forgive the ones that have hurt us. So that is what I am going to have to do, is forgive two of my family members that really, really hurt me. But God has been talking to me and reminding me that His only Son gave his life for our sins so it is only right to forgive those that hurt us!!!

Thank you Cheryl for helping me get to the place I am at!!! I don't know if I told you but my phone broke and we sent it back, they sent me another one that was broken, and finally they sent me one that works but I lost all of my contacts. So if you get a chance and don't mind would you please pm me your phone #? Thank you so very, very much!!!

God Bless and Love Ya'll,

Billie Mae
