I use the Calorie Counter app on my phone. I've never kept track of what I eat in a day until about 4 weeks ago. It made me really aware of what I was popping in my mouth! Now I write down EVERYTHING!
for people that use droids I prefered Noom over myfitnesspal. It makes you more aware of what kind of calories you are eating. (I wasn't aware that my normal diet consisted of many bad things.) Plus I think it makes my diet more realistic.
Also drink a glass of water an hour before you eat, it causes you to eat less.
