Sandwiches, nachos, pizza, soup... can you think of a more perfect buffet for a Super Bowl party? The teams playing in the 2012 Super Bowl make it possible for us to serve all of these popular dishes at our party this year, so it's destined to be a winner, no matter who wins the game. For the New York Giants you can serve New York style pizza and Reuben sandwiches and for the New England Patriots, offer up clam chowder and lobster nachos to your guests. Add a few other favorite regional flavors and no one will go home feeling hungry.

As with any sports party, make sure your television is in good working order and in a prime viewing location. Also, serve your food as a buffet since nobody will want to sit long in your dining room for a formal dinner. Add your own favorite dips, spreads and snacks to the menu and, finally, make all of your food in advance - you won't want to be stuck in the kitchen missing all of the great plays and commercials throughout the game.

Super Bowl 2012 Party Menu

New England Clam Chowder - Keep the spirit of New England with a bowl of this classic chowder.

Slow Cooker Corn Chowder - If you're not a big fan of seafood, try this recipe that also offers the convenience of using a crockpot, keeping the chowder warm throughout your game.

New York Style Pizza - As any New Yorker will tell you, pizza anywhere else just can't compare.

Lobster Nachos - Nachos make a great party food, and lobster makes them a New England treat.

Lobster Spread on Mini Bagels - With New England's lobster topping a New York bagel, you'll serve a dish that unites all fans.

Reuben Sandwich - Make this popular New York deli sandwich and watch as your guests start spreading the news.

Roasted Garlic Cheddar Bruschetta - This recipe comes courtesy of Cabot, Vermont's award winning cheese maker.

New York Style Cheesecake - One of the great things about cheesecake is that it gets better if it's made several days before your party. It will stand up to your cutting it into bite size pieces for your guests to eat as they move around your Super Bowl party.

Chewy Maple Sugar Cookies - New England is well known for its maple syrup. But since pancakes would be impractical at a Super Bowl Party, try these tasty cookies instead.

Remember to stock up on plenty of beverages and ice - your guests will become pretty thirsty after cheering on their team. If you're wondering what beer to serve at your party, visit Beer Guide Bryce Eddings' helpful article that discusses beer pairings for your Super Bowl Party.

We'll be doing the pizza. Hubby and I are the only ones who will be watching at our house.

We'll be at church.  No Super Bowl watching for us as none of our teams are playing.
