The stupid things you do on Facebook -- and how to fix them

By Adam Dachis

Reluctantly or otherwise, Facebook is the place most of us have chosen to share our lives online. In spite of its many useful features, the social media site can be a constant source of annoyance, embarrassment and trouble if you make a few stupid decisions you might not even realize you're making. I went through the full article.  That's a lot to think about and some great ideas for our own personal FB accounts a little smarter and secure.  Thank you for posting this ~ it's very informative!  :)

I wasn't aware you could limit who sees what.  Instead several months ago, I went and manually cut my friends list in half to include only people I meet in real life.  I've added some Cafemoms since but I'm a lot pickier who I add.

I don't allow apps or games on my account and block them one at a time when I get invites from people.

I have played several of the games and had to back away from them when I got sick recently.  Now, it seems I'm so busy with other things, that I don't have the time or desire as much to play them anymore.  So I've had to make some changes with some "friends" in that area.  I'm a lot more pickier now since I made those changes.

The one about being on fb all of the time should have said. If you're a mom join cafe mom, then you won't be on fb anymore. Hahaha. I joined cm a week ago and my fb has certainly taken the back seat.
