Are you looking for someone to talk to who can help with issues relating to diagnosis, treatment, training or something else? Here are some resources that you may find useful for a Canadian Resident:

http://www.autismsocietycanada.ca/

  • Autism Society Canada is a federation of Canada-wide provincial and territorial autism societies or their equivalent. There is a lot of information on this site for local and national agencies that can help with many aspects of living, or livinging with someone, with ASD.
  • ASC also includes the Autism Junction Service Directory which attempts to index all of the services provided by each province across the country:  http://www.autismsocietycanada.ca/index.php?option=com_sobi2&Itemid=139&lang=en

http://www.autismspeaks.ca

  • Great resources and information if you're stuck on "What do I do now?" for a diagnosis, after diagnosis and more.

http://www.parl.gc.ca/Content/LOP/researchpublications/prb0622-e.htm

  • A list from the Parliamentary Library of Canada on the available government funded programs by province (also shows a good comparison of services) with appropriate links to provide contact information for the services available.

http://www.autismcanada.org/

  • provides information on the research involved in Autism, the different forms of research based therapies out there and the differences between them.

Have one you'd like to add? Let me know! This will be updated as often as possible.
