A Bao A Qu, an obscure creature from the Malay Peninsular is said to have various tentacles and soft smooth skin but changes shape and colour. It lives by the Tower of Victory in Chitor. Pilgrims attempt to climb this tower to reach the top where they will attain enlightenment. Each level of the tower is a further level towards enlightenment and the A Bao A Qu changes at each level growing stronger and stronger sucking the life force of the pilgrim. At the last level it is said to be truly alive at full strength but to date no one has been powerful enough to reach the top.
