I think having a place to list what we are grateful for is a wonderful idea.

I am making this post sticky, so it will always be on top.

Every morning and evening stop by and add a few things you are grateful for.

In those brief moments that you are feeling a bit down, come here and be grateful.

Gratitude is a magic pill, lifting your spirits and attracting more to enjoy.

Let's get started on our journey of gratitude.

  • I am thankful this day that I have finally learned to stand up to my husband with his bad temper and realize I am not responsible for his rages, his temper and bad moods.  I am not responsible for his happiness. I am also thankful I told him this and I do not fear him anymore.

    All women everywhere.. moms, wives, daughters..
    Be so grateful for yourself that you always treat yourself with the utmost honor, respect and love.

    It is not our job to "make someone happy", other than ourself.

    Be selfish to the point of always loving yourself.  When we walk in the awareness of how wonderful we are, we will not attract or stay in situations that abuse us.

    Teach this to your daughters, teach your sons to love themselves too.

  • I am so totally grateful this morning for my Daughter's Smile, kindness and inner beauty.

    I am grateful for my long dark hair, I just love my hair.


    I am grateful for my electric blanket and flannel sheets, what a delight to sleep all cozy like a baby through the night.

    I am grateful for online payments and shipping.

    I am grateful for coffee pots that create wonderful black coffee first thing in the morning.

    I am grateful for my physical body which interacts with the world, my mind for it's creative powers, my spirit for always reminding me who I AM.

    I am grateful for my children and grandson and all the joy they share with me.

    11/05/07

    I am grateful for.........

    1.  being very aware of what I am grateful for.  I didn't have a chance to post yesterday but found myself thinking of things that I was grateful for all day long.  It's a beautiful feeling to have gratitude in your heart all day long.

    2.  my vision.  I'm so blessed to be able to see the sunshine, my little boy's smile, my oldest son's freckles, my husband's blue eyes, the fall colors or the wind blowing in the trees.  I am so grateful for my vision.

    3.  hot water and heat.   brrrrrrrrrr....it's chilly in Michigan today.

    4.  money to pay bills and support our family comfortably.

    5.  my life.

    This thread is serving us well to develope the attitude of gratitude throughout the day.

    I am also grateful for home made brownies with walnuts and pecans.  yummie.. just had one and it was delightful.

  • I am a few days behind...very busy weekend, but I do agree that this list has helped me so much to keep gratitude in my head and in my heart. I thought all weekend long about all the things I was grateful for and I've decided to start keeping a gratitude journal.

    Today, I am grateful for:
    My wonderfully hectic, exciting weekend.

    The joy that music brings to my life.

    Turbo Jam, it is such a wonderful workout! I just have so much fun and don't even realize I'm am working out!

    My (so far) 36 pound weight loss! Woot! =D

    My comfortable, cozy home.

    My autumn garden. I just planted this weekend and its so beautiful.

    Exercise is wonderful when it's fun.
    That's why I do Tae Kwon Do.  It's a hoot for me.

    I love the garden.  I didn't grow one this year, got too busy with other things.

    Start each morning and end each day by laying in bed and listing things in your head or your journal that you are grateful for.

    This leads to happy days and sweet dreams.

    Turbo Jam is a combo of kick boxing and dance and is such a blast!
    I just finally got some flowers planted in the planters on my front porch and they are so incredibly beautiful!

  • I love flowers. I have them in two beds, in pots in the back yard and my bedroom is filled with violets.
    I get lots of sun in my BR so I keep most of the plants there.  During the winter my house looks like a jungel with all the plants I have to bring inside.
    During the holidays I hang little ornaments on them and let them have a good time too.

    Tonight I am grateful for bedrooms with light for my plant friends.

    I am thankful for a wonderful TKD work out, 100 kicks, 100 punches and 30 minutes of form practice.

    I am thankful that my body is relaxed and will enjoy a good night's sleep.

    I am thankful today:
    To have my family.
    To have wondeful people at work.
    To still have the same circle or friends.
    To have hopes and dreams of the future for myself and my family.
    I am thankful especially that the medicine for my daughters strep throat is starting to seem to work.
