How do I get the focus off of something I don't want and on to something I do?

Hi everyone! I've been listening to "Ask and It Is Given" almost everyday for about 4 months now and it HAS made a huge difference in my life and my way of thinking. I think sometimes I get hung up on thinking about what I don't want when something happens unexpectedly...i.e. my husband's ex wife joining cafe mom out of the blue a couple of weeks ago and stalking me on here...inflitrating all my groups and posting nasty stuff about me. According to the Law of Attraction, it's my own thoughts that have brought this about and I've been diligently focusing my thoughts away from her and back onto the things I want, but blamo...she's there again. Things have calmed down a bit since last week. I've had to make my profile private and leave a lot of groups, but when I start to think about this subject does anyone have any suggestions of what other subject I could focus on? It seems like I have a broken record in my head. Help! Am I addicted to this drama? I hope not.

All I can say is each time you catch yourself focusing on it, say Stop....and then replace with a good thought like how happy your hubby makes you etc. The more you do it the easier it will become.

By the way....what is "Ask and it is Given?"

It's a book by Jerry and Esther Hicks...you can find it in any big book store (Barnes and Nobles, etc.) or go to their website...google them to be sure what it is but I think it's

www.abraham-hicks.com

I listen to the book on tape on my mp3 player and that really helps focus my mind. Thanks for the suggestion! : )

Thinking about wanting something to stop is the same as asking it to continue.  What you give your energy, attention to is what you get more of.

It takes practice to discover how to think about what you want.  In you imagination run a script of how you would like your relationship to be, how you would enjoy your life to be.  Now while imagining, believe that that's the way it is.

During "regular" life when something pops up out of line with what you want, take a few seconds to go back to the imagined state.

Practicing this will create it so... inside you .. then outside will line up.

I've just written a little ebook that explains it simply.

I also have other books here

Be patient with yourself.. it takes practice like everything else.  Resisting thoughts doesn't help, it only brings them more to your attention. Play a game with yourself, when you catch thoughts that are not linked to the experience you want say, AH>>>> laugh and then go to your script.. the thoughts that you do want.

Love yourself well..
