Sopa de Lentejas-- Lentil Soup
Large pot 3/4 full of water
1 1/2 cups Lentils
2 cloves garlic
1/2 white onion (more if it's small)
2 serron chilies
5 roma tomatoes
generous handful of cilantro
salt to taste
Boil the water, add lentils and add tomatoes after cooking the lentils a bit in one pot.
In a pan, cook onions, peppers, garlic and chorizo until done.
After the chorizo mixture is done, add to the pot with the lentils. Add salt. Top with cilantro.
