interesting side note:  when I was pregnant with my first, I looked into cordblood banking.  We couldn't have afforded it at the time, so I was going to donate.  I sent in my application and was denied.  It took me eight weeks to get to the bottom of it, but allegedly, anyone who lived on a military base in Europe (specifically in Germany) from "x" time to "x" time was potentially exposed to Mad Cow Disease and as a result we can't donate blood or cordblood.  Not sure if I can donate my organs when I die.  I haven't looked into it, but I am a registered donor.

I'm glad I don't eat red meat.

That's interesting about not being able to donate.  I never even though of that.  It's kind of sad for you, if you want to donate your organs.
