Good morning ladies,
So I have some good ole fashioned drama for your llama. Come and gorge on this one.
DH and I were driving home the other night when he received a call from a friend of ours. A bit of background, the friend (we will call him T) is married and we are friends with him and his wife (we will call her K). We met them at a Renaissance Festival and usually hang out, do bbq's and go out for the occasional drink. K has been cheating on T, she has talked to me about it and of course I don't hide anything from DH so he knows as well. T has his suspicions but we stay out of it because we don't do drama and don't want to be caught up in the middle of it.
Anyway, DH answers his phone and it is T. I couldn't hear exactly what was said but DH basically tried to say something back but kept getting cut off. He finally ended the conversation with, "Believe what you want but it never happened and would never happen, you know me better than that" and he hung up. I looked at home and asked what was going on and he told me that K finally told T that she had been cheating on him and listed my DH as one of the guys she slept with!
Of course I laughed and said, "uhhh ok, what the hell?". DH has never been over there without me, we have stayed the night only a hand full of times and he has never been anywhere with her alone. If anything he hangs out with T alone but has never been anywhere with just K.
So I don't really know what to do. Of course there was a part of me that makes me wonder why she would name DH as one of the guys she slept with and then there is another part of me that wants to kick a bitches ass for spreading a vicious lie like that.

if it were MY dh i'd chalk it up to her being a scandalous freak and trust that he didn't hook up with her. your DH? well i don't know him.. but she certainly is a scandalous freak.
I know my DH and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he didn't sleep with her. She has tried to come onto him and he always backs away and gets me to intervene lol. When she realized he wasn't into her she then tried to move onto me lol. On a few occasions where she had been drinking she would hang all over me, telling me how cute I am and how she would totally "do" me. I always laughed it off but after this I wonder what could be next.

Maybe she realizes that she told you everything, and you probably told your DH, so she is trying to sever the friendship with you guys and her DH so you can't tell him all the juicy details. She figures if you guys aren'tfriends anymore, the full extent of her deception is safe. Good luck with that. Not a position I'd want to be in, for sure.
What would I do?
I would grab DH and head over there when you know both of them are home, back that bitch into a corner and put my finger in her face and put together a collection of nouns and verbs designed to have her seriously considering hanging herself with her own Spanx, while my husband stands behind me with his arms folded.
But that's me.
She didn't give names or any juicy details. She just confided into me because she was starting to feel guilty and needed to tell someone. She knows that I keep my mouth shut since I don't do IRL drama but she also knows I don't hide anything from DH.
As for why she named DH, I don't know. I think Seamus is right though, it was probably to sever the friendship between DH and T.
