Yeah, that's a serious question. I stopped using it and I don't see a difference in my hair. Am I damaging it? (Just wondering before my shower in the AM).
I use the organix Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner. Anything of theirs is great.
LOL. Yeah, I am serious. I didn't know it was a major hair crime! I think that straightening my hair must keep it in line, I spray stuff in before I straighten it. I must be using really bad stuff if I'm not noticing a difference. It's all store bought, not salon stuff.
Quoting Djinn83:I won't be able to get a brush through my hair without conditioner. Pantene conditioner is the devil. It feels nice, but it has so much alcohol in it to make it last on the shelf longer it tears your hair up. Don't believe me? Put some pantene conditioner on your vinyl or lenolium floor and let it sit for a couple of days, it will eat through it. No joke.
I use Biotera from Sally's, its knock off biologe...I love it! Plus, every two weeks I use a clarifying shampoo and motions CPR rescue (ethnic). If you use alot of heavy conditioner or product, you really need to get a clarifying shampoo to strip all of that residue out of your hair. You will thank me.
I wash my hair every 2-3 days because its so dry.
i need to buy some new shampoo and conditioner today. my hair is thinning so badly, i pracically have bald spots near my temples (slight exageration).. the only thingi can think of is that my crappy hair products are to blame. it's not genetic, i never color it, drink tons of water and take vitamins..
I wash my hair everyday, and condition. It would be a tangled mess without it.
12345, it's expensive as hell but Nioxin is supposed to be amazing for that. DH uses a different formula of Nioxin because he has mystery scalp conditions and it's the only thing that works. But there's a thickening one too. I often find it on the clearance rack at Ulta, or I use their coupons for it.
Tan, you need conditioner because your hair shaft is kind of like a pipe cleaner and the little fuzzy things will stand every which way and look frizzy, but the conditioner weights and smooths it all back down and kind of seals it. The flat iron works because you're just ironing it all back together and in one direction basically, but it will just make it worse long term. At least get leave in conditioner, you lazy thing. (and some throw pillows, you freak!)
well it keeps the hair smooth, shiny, soft and you can tame your hair easily. For example, I use Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil Hair Conditioner which helps restore moisture to hair, protects against heat and chemical damage, safe for color-treated hair, conditions hair back to its natural health. It's the best I've ever tried. so the hair conditionner is very important for your hair and to keep it healthy and not dry. :D
