What say you?

Can't judge the woman because none of us know what we would do in that situation?

Or are you positive that your first instinct would be to clutch your small child and protect them?

Yes, I cannot imagine leaving my child behind like that. Even if her intent is to distract the attacker, she should have at least pushed the child towards the door. I remember hiking when my sons were quite small and we startled a bear. I seriously thought, in all my years of being in the bush and encountering bears, that it was going to charge. I put my sons behind me and we all walked backwards slowly. But then again, the bear didn't have a knife or anything. lol

I know myself well enough to know my "fight or flight" response is mostly "fight."  I have an almost supernatural adrenaline response to situations where danger presents itself, and I'm positive that I'd never bolt without my kids.

Before I watched it, my thought was, "I won't judge how somebody else reacts," but after watching it, "that stupid bitch didn't even hesitate and ran without her baby."  She should have fucking thrown him her purse and ran with that baby.  THAT should have been her reaction.  My maternal instincts just went berserk watching that.

But... I've been in a lot of situations where I've had to think on my feet, and I've had some training on how to handle situations like that.  So I'll try not to hate her fucking guts.

It even kind of looked like she put her daughter in between herself and the attacker. Fucking rediculous. Pick up your babies and run if you are not going to fight. I am sorry I wouldn't leave my babies in any harm period.

I know i would not leave my child. I was faced with a bit bull while outside with my chihuahua. We had just pulled up at home, got out and bam there was this big ass dog fixating on us. I reached in my car got the window brush and yelled and swung until we both got back in the car. Then I called DH to come scare the dog so we could go inside.

I would never leave my child!

it did, and she didn't even hesitate when she ran off, she didn't even really have time to assess what was going on before she took off... then he grabbed the little girl by the shirt, and she didn't even come back towards the door until he let the little girl go to chase the mom.  Fuck her.  I'm angrier now after having more time to reflect.
