So I'm a single mom, and I work full time. My mom has been watching my son, but my hours changing at work have left me in the position of either put my son in daycare or get fired. I teach at a preschool/daycare, and my boss is checking to see if there's room for my son at one of the other centers (he can't go to my school because he would be in my room). If there's room, then even with my employee discount I would have to pay about $95/week. I can't afford that. How would I go about seeing if I qualify for assistance? Any idea how much they would cover? I live in MO and make 9.50/hr if that helps. I qualify for food stamps and Medicaid, but never used the Medicaid and got off food stamps a bit ago because I didn't feel I needed them. Now I think I need to either get back on food stamps and Medicaid or see if I can get child care assistance. How exactly does the assistance work?

it's a percentage of your income. from what I figured out your price vs the actual price ends up being about 10% I think.
