Does any one have one and do you use it often. I have one, but I don't use it as often as I like. I love the dried apples that I make on it. I just am lazy and never get around to making them very often. I want to try drying strawberries soon. I think it would be fun. When I did bananas no one would eat them and my blue berries turned out bad. Does anyone have any tips for using one.
I don't have one. But I tried to dry strawberries in the oven. It kinda worked, but took like 3 hours! They were ok. I think they would have tasted better in cereal instead of plain.

The apples on my dehydrator take about 18 hours. I set it up to do it over night so I can get them off in the morning

I have only made apple rings in the fall with it...a friend made jerky once and it turned out ok...I have no tips really, except that a good apple core removing tool is a good investment...I got an EXCELLENT on from the Co-op...can't remember the brand but if you want to know, I'll find out :)
We have one that is a corer and a slicer, but I don't use it to often for these, mainly because I hate to wash it. I know it saves time to use it, but still am to lazy to try to get it clean.lol. If you find out the name of the one you are talking about I would love to check it out. I would love to try them as rings instead of little slices.
