I've heard about using applesauce or black beans to give baked goods a healthier twist. Do you have any other tips?

1 mom liked this
1 C. Buttermilk = 1 C. Yogurt OR 1 T. Lemon Juice or Vinegar plus enough milk to make 1 C.

You can substitute mashed bananas for eggs as a binder in recipes for flavored breads or muffins.

1 Egg = 1/2 banana mashed with 1/2 t. Baking powder. Interesting in a pinch!! Would sure sweeten it up too.

Thanks for the conversion! I've been out of eggs and not known it until I'm ready to start cooking.

Thanks for this! I've bought powdered buttermilk to keep on hand for cooking and baking. This is so much easier!

Does it matter what kind of vinegar it is?
