 What is your favorite recipe?

I love making the better homes and gardens version of beef stroganoff.

My favorite dessert one is one that I lost :( my memaw used to own a bake shop and she made this cake for people with diabetes. It was so good. It was some kind of white cake with some kind of whipped sugar free frosting and covered in strawberries and strawberry glaze. Mmmmmm.

Share yours :)

 Baked ziti

Ingredients

  • 1 (26 ounce) jar Prego┬« Traditional Italian Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 5 cups hot cooked tube-shaped pasta (ziti)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Mix pasta sauce, 1 cup mozzarella cheese and ziti. Spoon into 2-quart shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until hot.

Footnotes

  • Tip: To freeze, prepare ziti but do not bake. Cover tightly with foil and freeze. Bake frozen ziti uncovered at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until hot. Or refrigerate frozen ziti 24 hours to thaw. Bake thawed ziti uncovered at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until hot.
  • For 8 servings, double recipe. Spoon into 3-quart shallow baking dish. Bake 45 minutes.

Chicken Soft Tacos - Adults  Chicken Burritos - Kids

Crock pot, put 3 large frozen chicken breasts in, a pack of taco seasoning or a big shake from large taco seasoning, 1 cupish size glop of mild chunky salsa. Turn on high or low depending on how quick you need it. I can put this on around the time I do school pick up(yes frozen) on high & have it for early dinner.

When chicken is cooked use kitchen sheers/ clean scissors & chop that chicken up! BTW it will smell gooood & look ugly. Two forks shred & mix cooking juices back into meat... now were talkin!

Canned non fat re-fried beans take lid off can put open end in microwave safe dish, can opener on bottom make slit beans will slide right out ; ) a good shake of garlic salt, mash it up, micro top with cheese.

I make warm totilla buttered, beans cheese & chicken rolled up tight for little ones.

For adults we do all the lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa, avocado ect. ..what ever is on hand.. in the soft taco

BTW this is a very lean, healthy & easy meal. Hope you enjoy!

1 mom liked this

A new favorite in our house is one I got from Pillsbury. It's a pepperoni pizza bake. You take biscuit dough and cut it up into pieces, toss it with mozz cheese and pizza sauce, layer it with pepperoni, and top with mozz cheese. Bake at 350 for about a half hour or until golden brown. So delish.
