Cooking something extra ooey-gooey on the grill this weekend? Consider laying down a piece of foil on top of the grill, before laying down your food. Your meal will still get the same rich, smoky barbeque flavor, but less of your meal will be stuck to the grill.
I recently tried this trick while cooking up a batch of barbeque chicken legs and thighs. The sauce was incredibly thick and gooey, and if I hadn't laid down the tin foil, I'm sure we would have had a fire on our hands. And we probably would have had to take them off before they were done cooking.
The end result was a crisp outside and juicy inside. We'll definitely be using this trick again - maybe the next time we cook ribs.
Moms, what other grilling tips do you have for messy meals?
That's a good idea. That way you keep all your sauce too!
We have two family mottos.
One is.....there's never too much cheese.
The other is.....foil is our friend. We always use foil on the grill. Great for easy clean up.
