Party Idea Help!

So im having a get together with some of my girlfriends next month and I'm trying to think of something more creative than your typical pot luck.
I had thought of having a "Dip Party" where everyone brings a different dip (chips and dip or veggies ect.) But not sure if that would be enough. What do you ladies think??? Maybe like "SIP n Dip" or something.
Or does anyone have any other creative party ideas. It's probably gonna be between 7-10 ladies and i don't mind alcohol but some of them don't drink so lookin for other options as well.

EDIT:::: I like a dessert party but not sure if everyone is like me and can eat 10 different desserts.
I also like the idea of maybe a fiesta type party with a taco bar

I would have a dessert party .You could also have sweet wine or mixed drinks .

 You could also do a side dish party. With no real main dishes. Just sides. Then you would get a whole variety of food.

I think the dip or the sip & dip is a great idea! You could do alcoholic & virgin drinks. And as the host you could provide a main dish to go with all the dip things people bring.
