hamburgs and jumbo hotdogs on grill and baked beans and whatever else-prob. chips and a possible some type of fruit (if I can get to the store by then)  Just me and my ds and his health care aide and possibly two friends coming over but nothing huge-just a little celebration

Quoting patlizvic:

I bought a London Broil for the 4th. Gonna marinate it and grill it. Can't wait!

What time do you want me over?  =D

We're going to my brother's house and the guys will grill ribs, burgers, dogs.  I always make the tater and mac salads, deviled eggs, veggie platter.  My SIL prepares the fruit tray.  She usually goes all the way, but she just had a baby so we'll have to shift the duties elsewhere.  My mom brings the desserts, aka the good stuff lol.

I go a little nuts with the red, white and blue theme...

Red white and blue bowtie pasta salad - cook 1/3 plain, 1/3 in water with lotsa red food coloring, and 1/3 with lotsa blue.  Looks wonderful!

Red and blue gatorade "ice cubes" in sprite

strawberries dipped in white chocolate with some red still showing, then dipped in blue sprinkes on 1 side

some kind of red, white and blue jello layered thing

I might add some kind of blueberry white chocolate bark with red sprinkles this year just to liven up.

(I'm making myself tired already!)

I bought some barbecued ribs, last month to eat on the Fourth of July, but I eat them last month on Father's Day, instead, so I guess my son and I will probably eat hot dogs.  It'll, probably, just  be the two of us.
