Do your meal plans change depending on what season or month of the year it is?

Ours do. In the summer we eat lighter, quicker meals. In the winter we eat more soups, chili and bigger meals.

Yes, I do change the meals based on the season.  We don't have A/C, and it's miserably hot, and so I try not to oook big meals in the house during the summer.

In fact, I"m really irritated right now, because I made spaghetti for lunch.  And my husband chewed me out because I was putting hot steam into the air.  He thinks we should have pasta salad or potato salad... and I just want to scream, because HELLO, to get those nice cool salads, you have to COOK the pasta or potaotes, so how is that really any better??

I accidentally clicked "add reply".  Hooray, me.  :o(

I was going to say that in the summer we eat things like burgers and hot dogs and other things cooked on the grill outside, those pasta salads, or potato salad, or sandwiches, etc.  In summer, I buy bread.

In winter, I do a lot of baking, make my own breads, do home-made pizzas, make chili and generally bigger, heavier meals.

In the winter I do bake a little more since the oven warms the kitchen up a little more and it is nice to have something warm to eat when it is cold out
