Barbequing takes technique, especially with certain foods. Cook something too long and it turns to rubber. Cook something too little and it's nearly inedible. But, not only do you have to have the timing just right, you also need to have the right tools.

My number one barbequing companion is tin foil. It helps keep meats moist and foods from sticking to the grill.

Here's how to make the perfect barbequed chicken breast:

Start by taking your meat out of the refrigerator about 20 minutes before cooking time. Meat that is room temperature, cooks more evenly.

Set your grill to have one side hot and the other with indirect heat.

Start your chicken breast on the hot side, to get a nice char all around.

Then move the breast to the warm side, laying down a piece of tinfoil before doing so.  You'll finish the rest of the cooking process here.

Close the lid, and let it cook through until done.

You'll have a nice piece of juicy chicken - one that will rival any restaurant in town.

Moms, what are some of your favorite grilling techniques?

I will have to try that!  I have always been a little scared of the grill so I let DH do most of it but I am planning on learning so we can have grilled food even when DH is working.

wow awesome tips! I usually leave my steaks out till room temp but didnt think about doing so for chicken. Will hav to try that next time.

I dont normally use tin foil, Hubby likes his grill lines.
