Yes, with just lots of butter, confectioners sugar, vanilla and hot water. Then can stir in blueberries or fruit of choice.

I hate...no, I loathe frosting in a can. It is disgusting. I always make my own frosting.

Sometimes.   There is a cake I'm planning to make (when I finally remember to get a lemon), and I'll be making the frosting for it from scratch.  I might forego the lemon, though, because I only need a bit of rind, and even though the lemon has been on my shopping list multiple times, I somehow keep forgetting to get it.  The cake has lemonade concentrate in it, anyway, so it will have plenty of lemon taste.
