Grilled Fruit Kebobs Made Easy

Hot weather means cooking dinner outside on the grill, but did you also know that you could make dessert outside as well? I'm a big fan of making grilled fruit kebobs. Basically any firm fruit will do, but my favorite is pineapple and watermelon. Both grill nicely and bring out bold flavors of summer for a decadent dessert. Here's what you'll need and how to make the perfect grilled fruit kebob.

One whole pineapple

One half large watermelon

Mint

Honey

Skewers

Chop fruit into cubes and alternate pineapple and watermelon onto skewers.

Place tin foil on grill and cook kebobs directly on foil.

As the fruit grills, brush on honey for added sweetness.

Before serving, sprinkle kebobs with freshly chopped mint. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Moms, what other fruit would you try to grill for a delicious dessert?

I guess I would need to try this before I can think of any other fruits I would grill.  I can't imagine how this tastes.

I wonder.  Cantaloupe is pretty watery and when it is very ripe it falls apart- but maybe in small balls or chunks it would work.

Quoting goddess99:

I wonder if you can grill cantaloupe or honeydew melons? That might be good.
