Sure do!

I take 2 to 4 pounds of meaty soup bones (beef or ham) or a whole chicken, then put them in my crockpot and cover with at least 8 cups of water.  I will add diced onion, 2 carrots (diced), and 1 to 2 stalks of celery, sliced.  I may also add a few pinches of thyme, sage, or rosemary and a dash or two of garlic powder and salt/pepper to taste.  Cover and cook for 24 hours.  Remove the meat and strain the veggies from the stock.

I never have.  I don't use stock very often, though, so I just buy canned when I need it.

no, lack of patience and interest I guess. Seems like  a lot of work for something I don't feel is that expensive to buy

I've never made my own stock but I really should. It's so much cheaper.
