DF said I should try it in the crockpot. How would you do it then?

I carmalize my onions on the stove(or you could do it in the crockpot overnight) add 2 cartons of beef broth, a bay leaf, a little flour, whorchistier, and few other seasonings. I just eyeball everything when I make it so I can't give exact amounts. I got the recipe from Betty Crocker and have adapted it some.
