vanilla extract? I have looked into it and it does not seem hard at all but I have not actually done it yet but I would feel better knowing exactly how old it is where it was from and such.

I thought about it too, but never did it. I dont use it that much, so it seems wasteful to make a jar.

Yes!!! I made some around october in prep for xmas because it takes about 8 weeks. That stuff is fantastic, but very different from the vanilla i was used to.

I haven't, but now I'm intrigued. Vanilla extract is something where it's sometimes questionable if its gluten free or not, so making it may be worthwhile for me. What is the process?

I have seen recipes but I've never tried it. I love a good vanilla extract so I'm sure it would be worth it.

Exactly we are a gluten free family as well. 

Here is a cute like recipe for it. I have seen ones where they make a whole mason jar but I like the idea of a small jar. And our Hobby lobby has some cute little bottles (or they did at Christmas time I hope they still do)
