I dont have a picture, but Ive been doing a lot with polenta lately. I take fried crispy polenta (from trader joes). Which is the slow and steady type of deal to get it crispy. Caramelize some onions for a good while. Take the polenta and plate it with the onions, a good amount of crumbled goat cheese, and a drizzle of honey. OMG. Amazing. When you make this appetizer for guest its one, really cheap to make two, doesn't have to be a huge portion cause its rich, and three you can prepare most of the stuff ahead of time!
Crockpot French Toast!
A dozen eggs, 4 cups milk, a loaf of bread, preferably crusty french bread, cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla - Mix up the liquid, pour it over the bread in the crockpot (if I have a lot of bread I dip, then put in the crockpot) and cook on low for at least 6 hours.
