Putting Your Cookie Cutters to Good Use
When I think of cookie cutters, I immediate make a connection to my favorite time of year - Christmas. It's a family tradition in our house to make dozens and dozens of sugar cookies and give them out as gifts. As the weather warms up, I start to feel nostalgic for those winter months and wonder if there are other uses for these cookie cutters. A quick search on the Internet turned up some great ideas. Here are just a few:
Use flower shaped cookie cutters to make a delightful fruit salad. Use watermelons, honeydew, cantaloupe and more for a colorful spring treat.
Use cookie cutters to cut fun shapes out of a variety of cheeses. Serve with crackers and assorted veggies.
Use to make different shaped pancakes.
Use to mold fudge or candy into unique shapes.
Cut sandwiches into fun shapes.
Use for gelatin cut outs.
Make fun shapes out of your puffed rice cereal treats.
There are so many other uses that you can have some great fun all year round.
Moms, what other uses can you think of for your cookie cutters?
