Barbeque Shortcuts Part 2 - Grilled Fruit Galore

Summer is in full swing and you're probably thinking that you've grilled everything you could possibly grill. But, have you tried your luck at making a sweet dessert? Many seasonal fruits grill up well. Just brush on a bit of honey or butter and get to cooking. Again, the trick is to use tin foil as your base - either heavy duty or doubled up regular strength tin foil.

Here are a few fruits that grill up well:

Peaches

Pears

Watermelon

Strawberries on skeweres

Pineapple

While you're at it, heat up some chopped walnuts or almonds in a tinfoil pouch on the top shelf of your grill. Use the nuts, along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream to top your perfectly grilled fruit.

Moms, what other fruits would you grill?

We loved grilled pineapple with a little honey drizzled over it.

We have made grilled apples, pears, and pineapples.   I like  the first 2 but am not a fan of grilled pineapple.  Nod like grilled fruit because its an easy addition once dinner is off the grill and eaten, and the grill is still hot enough for more.

The ones listed are ones I have tried, or at least some of them.  Can't think of any others to grill though.

How were the apples?  I would have never thought to grill those.
