Do I have to use unsalted butter?

 So many recipes call for it but I don't want to have to buy something special.

If you use salted butter, just cut back on the salt amount in the recipe.

It doesn't matter but in some it might taste salty

Just cut back on the salt already called for in the recipe.  I always keep a pound of both kinds of butter.  I usually bake with unsalted, and cook with the salted.

 If I use salted butter, I just omit the salt from the recipe.  I forgot to once and I learned my lesson real quick!

I use only unsalted butter whenever I use butter.  Personal choice, though.  :-)
