Casseroles & tossed salads

meatloaf, baked potatoes, veggie or salad

if they're sick....homemade chunky chicken soup and a fresh loaf of bread

Don't forget dessert!

1 mom liked this
I would grilled chicken.
So it could be added to salads or quick pasta dishes
A salad cut up but not make up so it stayed crisp and fresh

If the women are asked to take a meal over, I usually take a meal that can be enjoyed cold. Like a hearty cold pasta salad along with dinner rolls and maybe some sliced hard salami. Granny cake for dessert & some beverages.

If I have a designated day to take a hot meal, I pack a big roasting pan (divided in 3 sections) with homemade chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, and mini egg rolls. A platter with banana bread and strawberry muffins or sugar cookies. Really good when they have small children to feed.

I usually take a casserole or baked pasta dish like baked ziti, baked spaghetti that can be heated up when needed or frozen. I write the directions for each on aluminum foil to cover the pan. I also like to take it in a disposable pan so they don't have to return a dish.

These are awesome ideas!!  My cousin just had a baby and so I'm trying to come up with ideas!!  I really like the idea of a cold meal and the appetizer set up!  I'll be going a couple of times, so I will use some of these!!
