Using Grinders - Part 2

Making your own sausage at home? It can be done with a grinder attachment for your food processor. And I'm here to say that it can be one of the tastiest ventures you've ever made.

And don't think that you just have to grind meat. You can add quite a nice flavor profile by using various vegetables and fruits to the mix as well.

Here are a few flavor combinations to think about:

Chicken and apple

Chicken and jalapeƱo

Beef and red pepper

Pork and green chili

Spinach and beef

Turkey, sundried tomato and feta

Basically you can look at your local meat case for flavor ideas and recreate them at home.

Also, there's no need to case the sausage, you can always just use it in ground form.

Moms, would you try your luck at sausage making at home?

We get our sausages from a local farm shop.  They carry a lot of these flavours and are definitely bett than getting them from any shop.  I would like to try my own but not enough to invest in the equipment and ingredients needed to do so.
