Oh my....these have me craving stew!

My chili recipe:  2 lb. ground beef or diced beef roast, 1 can tomato juice, diced tomatoes, onions, peppers, sometimes winter squash, celery... NO BEANS.  I have a homemade chili seasoning mix that I add to it.  Brown the meat, add the rest of the ingredients, and simmer.

I hav3 not found the perfect chili recipe and have never made the same chili twice. I will probably try at least one listed here. I cook more stews in the fall and winter. We only eat chili once or twice a year.

It was a chicken thingy in the crock-pot. Not sure if it was a stew. Chicken & Gnocchi with a rich creamy cheese sauce.

I like to make chili with a heavy sauce which turns out good in the crock-pot. Toward the end, add fresh chopped onions, celery, & green peppers ... cook till tender crisp.
