Witches Cauldron Punch Using Dry Ice

Depending on who's house you go to this Halloween, you're either going to get treats or tricks.  But what about a way to give your guest a taste of both? Here's a way to use a common household item to make this sweet holiday treat with a spooky twist. It's called a witches cauldron punch.

First buy a brick of dry ice from your local supermarket. Make sure to read the directions and handle only with gloves. This stuff is tricky, so it's best that only adults do this part. Break it into a few pieces and place chunks into a large punch bowl. Next make your favorite fruity punch and place into a smaller bowl. My favorite punch is a mix of pinapple and orange juice with seltzer water served with wedges of lime. Place the smaller bowl into the larger punch bowl on top of the dry ice. Pour a bit of water on the dry ice and watch it start to smoke. Grab a ladle and start serving up that punch. It's a great prop or center piece for any Halloween party.

What kind of tricks or treats are you planning for Halloween.

Cute idea.  Just make sure the dry ice is made with food grade co2.

When I saw the title I was thinking "isnt it a bit dangerous to be drinking with dry ice" but now I understand. Very clever! Want to do it

Neat idea. We don't do anything special for Halloween.
