In OK, it should be the Indian Taco and TX should have 2, the BBQ brisket AND the CFS sammy. IMHO OK should not be credited with CFS sammy. I can't speak for any other state, LOL!

The Indian Taco in OK should not be confused with the Fry Bread Taco in AZ. They are different.

Fun Info!!!

Interesting.  I've lived in Illinois and Missouri and never had either the Horseshoe or the Gerber open faced sandwich.

My uncle is from Mizzou and lived in a St. Louis suburb for years. He used to be a foodie. He says the horseshoe sammy is a hamburger shaped like a horse shoe, but he doesn't know anything about it being topped with fries. He's never heard of the gerber.

who came up with some of these? Im from Idaho and we did not eat potato salad sandwiches. Living inMA the fluffernutter is spot on. even at school lunch kids get a little cup of fluff for their peanut butter.
