When baking....

Do you use a touch less salt if the recipe calls for salt and butter? I use salted butter if sweet cream in my home and I read or heard to use a little less salt when baking with salted butter. I don't like the taste of unsalted, so I don't use it.
I do this when making cookies and even in this mornings muffins and I don't notice. I also don't think anyone else does either.
Does anyone else do this?

I rarely use much salt in anything I'm making.. If the DH wants salt he can salt it himself. :)

If your recipe is calling for baking powder and/or baking soda, you probably can skip the salt.  I have always heard that a few grains of salt make sugar taste a little sweeter.

I use salted butter for most everything. I just think it tastes better!!

When I use salted butter, I usually omit the salt unless it is something I want to taste salty.

I prefer unsalted butter but if I happen to have salted I do use less or no salt and can not tell a difference.

I always use unsalted butter when baking because there is no standardization for salt level in salted butter.  One brand may only have a tiny amount, whereas another may have considerably more.  I don't want to risk having overly salty foods.
